Let Them Seek Cake
It has become an incredible home run, and even turned a noun into a verb. Have you been ‘caking’ lately? Chances are, you know someone who has.
To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of St. Louis, more than 252 cakes have been placed all over the region that mark historical locations and places that won by a popular vote. This has become more than a mere celebration; it has engaged the population in a wonderful way that marks this as a Public Relations and Marketing phenomenon.
What can we learn from this success that could be used in your business or organization?
Join us as we honor the historical significance of our own local landmark and treasure, The Hawken House. The Webster Groves Historical Society is having their own, unofficial or ‘rogue’ cake created.
The official unveiling of this new cake will take place at the end of the Chamber lunch!
We will hear from Erin Budde, Executive Director of the stl250 Cakeway project for the Missouri History Museum, and Kim Wolterman, who is a speaker, author and historian, and is proud that she has visited all 250 plus official cakes.
